Director, Specialty Chemicals

Rita Wu is Director of Specialty Chemicals industry research programs with a focus on renewable feedstock, biofuel, oleochemical as well as food and nutrition sectors. She leads global research and provides expertise and connections to the Americas market. She has industry research and financial market experiences across integrated oil, gas distribution and chemical industries. Before joining IHS based in California 9 years ago, Rita spent 5 years in the Asia financial capital market as Asia ex-Japan Energy Equity Research lead analyst with Barclays Capital Investment Bank, as well as China Oil and Gas analyst with Yuanta Securities Hong Kong. She was responsible for analyzing major refineries and specialty chemical companies in Asia and providing investment recommendations to the institutional investors. Rita has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.S. in Enterprise Management from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
