Global Head of Sustainable Market Engagement

Ms. Mankikar, a sustainable investment leader with over 16 years of experience, spearheads S&P Global Sustainable1’s strategy to engage market influencers, multi-laterals and standard-setters. Her expertise spans climate change, sustainability, investment and policy.

Previously, Ms. Mankikar served as CalPERS’ inaugural Head of ESG Research & Integration, overseeing the team's initiatives across the substantial $460+ billion fund. Noteworthy achievements include co-founding Climate Action 100+, a global investor network managing $65 trillion in assets dedicated to fostering corporate engagement on climate strategy. Additionally, she contributed significantly to the influential "Managing Climate Risk in the U.S. Financial System" report as a member of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s climate subcommittee.

Before her tenure at CalPERS, Ms. Mankikar's professional journey focused on environmental data, renewable energy and nature-based climate solutions, with a particular emphasis on carbon offsets rooted in native reforestation initiatives.

Ms. Mankikar holds three master's degrees, including an International MBA in Finance from IE Business School in Madrid, a master's in International Business & Human Rights Law from Tufts University's Fletcher School, and a master's in International Energy & Environmental Analysis from Boston University, with additional studies in Tropical Ecology through the Center for Sustainable Development in Costa Rica during her BA/MA Honors Program.
