Alfredo is now in charge of energy, sustainability and safety for Cepsa Chemical group for 8 plants worldwide. These duties include decarbonisation plan or product stewardship. Before re-joining Cepsa he was a recognised international expert on industrial emission regulations. For a decade Alfredo has delivered emission reduction services to public and private organisations, mainly to European Commission regulations. Alfredo has extensive experience on cleaner technologies (BATs) mainly for chemical industries, refineries, and power generation. Alfredo has done extensive work on regulatory development on Green Deal (and ‘fit for 55’ package) related with Industrial emissions directive, medium combustion plants and more recently in ETS for the European Commission. Alfredo was a European Commission employee (setting emission limit values) and before that worked in manufacturing and engineering for Cepsa and SABIC. Alfredo holds patents on Polycarbonate process technologies. Engineer degree with post graduate courses in IFP (Paris) and McGill (Montreal) and is a professor on industrial regulations in IFP Master courses.
