Claudia Schaeffer is Global Energy Climate for Dow. She leads Dow’s Climate Think Tank enabling the Company to stay on the leading edge of the global decarbonization efforts, including initiatives to drive value decarbonization investments. She is also responsible for optimizing the use of renewables and clean energy solutions globally. She participates in the Company´s global advocacy efforts for energy sustainability and climate change and leads reporting and external disclosures related to climate scenarios, risks and opportunities. Claudia is also in charge of the development and implementation of the energy strategy for Latin America, aiming to deliver reliable, sustainable and competitive power and steam to Dow´s 14 manufacturing sites, as well as regional energy and climate advocacy efforts.
She has represented Dow at the climate and energy initiatives of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. She supported Net Zero Australia (NZAu) project as an advisory group member, a collaborative partnership between the University of Melbourne, The University of Queensland and Princeton University
Claudia is a board member of ABRACE, the Brazilian Association of large energy consumers since 2013.
She holds a degree in Chemistry from University of Sao Paulo with a specialization in Marketing.
