Enterprise strategy practice leader & global partner, Industrial Industries
Colleen leads IBM’s Industrial Industries Practice for Enterprise Strategy, which includes clients in Energy, Chemicals, Electronics, Industrial Products, Automotive, and Aerospace. She advises clients in strategically responding to disruptive shifts in their industry and business models by leveraging technology as a key enabler. The disruptive shifts may be driven by competition, innovation or public policy, like Sustainability.
Prior to joining IBM, Colleen was Chief of Applied Strategy at SAP in the Office of the CEO where she focused on Innovation with Purpose assisting SAP’s platinum and strategic customers through industry-wide consortia and client specific transformation programs. She has deep strategy consulting experience in Business Transformations and Business Process Outsourcing from work at McKinsey and Booz. In her early career, she was a custom software developer for Accenture.
Colleen has a deep industry expertise in Energy, from PMO roles in global SAP implementations to refinery turn-around strategy. She was an Oil & Gas adjunct professor at Texas A&M University to help inspire women into STEM and the industry. She also is an Action Based Learning Lab leader for MIT’s MBA school. Her current project is on Carbon Sequestration. She has an MBA from Vanderbilt in Mgt of Information Systems and Marketing, a BA from Rice University in Honors Economics and Public Policy, and a Doctorate in Law from University of Houston.
