Yacine Rouimi joined IHS Markit in 2017 as a global economist in charge of constructing the Global Link Macro-Industry Model, a unique tool designed to estimate the impact of all sorts of shocks not only on the macroeconomy (GDP, CPI), but also on various metrics in 57 sectors and 68 countries. He joined from Société Générale, a financial institution where he worked from New York and from Paris, writing economic articles on a variety of aspects of the global economy. Yacine holds a masters of science in quantitative macroeconomics from the Paris School of Economics and a masters of science in financial engineering from Paris Dauphine University, where he also gives lectures in the fields of International economics and programming.
