Sara Garza has been with KCS since 2005, where she has held vital roles in the Strategic Studies, Yield Management, and Marketing departments at Kansas City Southern de Mexico (KCSM).

Currently, Sara is Director of Chemical and Petroleum Marketing for the U.S. and Mexico, leading the KCS pricing strategy for the Chemicals and Petroleum business unit, including the Mexico Energy Reform business.

She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Administration from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), graduating with honors. She also holds a Master in Business Administration Degree in Global Business and Strategy from EGADE Business School and the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte.

Because of her strong leadership skills and rail experience, Sara was recognized as one of Progressive Railroading’s Rising Stars of the North American railroad industry (2019); named as a runner-up with honorable mention honors in Railway Age’s 10 Under 40 edition (2019); and recognized as one of the 21 young ascending leaders of the Transportation and Logistics industry in Mexico by T21 Magazine (2017).
