Don is currently responsible for the Technology and Analytics Group that is the process chemical technology and economic hub of IHS Markit Chemical. This technology group includes our 53 year old Process Economics Program (PEP), Competitive Cost and Margin Analytics (CCMA), Downstream Capital Cost Service and IHS Markit Chemical’s new Chemical Price Scenarios models and offerings.
Throughout his over 35 year career he has directed numerous consulting studies consisting of technology, economics, commercial, financial issues associated with a variety of bio, and petrochemical industries, specializing in in process chemical technology “concept – to commercialization” due diligence. Associated with engagements, Don has worked directly with clients in over 50 countries with particular emphasis on the Americas and Asia. Prior to joining IHS, he worked at Nexant, ChemSystems as Senior Vice President and Director, where he was responsible for the Global Energy Resources and Chemicals Business Unit.
Don began his career as a Process Design Chemical Engineer at Kvaerner (John Brown Constructors). He holds an MBA in Finance and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
