A transition from the consumption of finite resources towards renewable energy sources and increasing use of renewable materials is the order of not just the day but the two decades.

This transition can be brought about by focusing on three principles, namely, designing out waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems, to drive a distributed, diverse, and inclusive economy – a circular economy.

IBM believes eliminating waste and increasing resource productivity is critical and can be accomplished by designing sustainability into the end-to-end lifecycle of as many high frequency consumable products as possible – essentially to build-in strategies to reinvent the use of resources by rethinking product design. This is what we shall cover in some detail with you.
